Renaissance Weddings

Hold your wedding reception in an elegant palace overlooking the Grand Canal. Candles and torches, musicians and jesters, brilliantly coloured costumes. Ask your guests to join in the spirit of your event & dress in period costumes that complement your style, that way everyone feels like they are really part of the festivities. What could be more fascinating than a masked ball in Venice? We have several palaces available for you to consider, many dating back to before the 15th century, complete with frescoed ceilings & luxurious marble floors. ‘Godfather’ Theme Weddings

You could base your wedding around a famous movie, such as ‘The Godfather’ set in Sicily. Most of the Sicilian scenes of the three unforgettable godfather movies directed by Francis Ford Coppola were filmed in two typical Sicilian villages, called Savoca and Forza D’Agro, which are close to Taormina. These lovely villages are still today completely untouched by tourism and retain their original features and medieval charm. Both villages are dominated by the ruins of their Norman castles and are located on high hilltops reached by very steep winding roads. They are a photographer’s delight and locations in Sicily that merit a visit, let alone for a wedding or a reception banquet or even just an enhanced photographic wedding ‘shoot’ after a civil wedding ceremony in Taormina. We can even arrange a special post-wedding Godfather Tour for you, where in Savoca, the bride and groom can re-enact Michael and Apollonia’s memorable wedding scenes from part one of the movie trilogy along with all of the wedding guests.

Medieval Weddings in a Castle

Imagine arriving by horse-drawn carriage to a 11th century castle, the trumpeters salute you as you enter the castle grounds, guests are enjoying their Italian Prosecco to toast you both, the castle entrance is decorated with beautiful white flowers and torches light the walls. A Medieval castle is not just a dream, and not as expensive as you think. Lunch or dinner can be organised with a typical ‘rustic’ menu, and imagine fireworks at the end of your spectacular day.

Elegant Villa Weddings

An ultra-elegant wedding in a villa set in the Italian countryside. There are some superb villas in the Veneto countryside, hidden away and relatively unknown. There’s a stunning villa situated on its own little hill, with an enormous terrace where you can enjoy views of the Euganei hills. Perfect for a wedding reception. The most striking thing of all is a spectacular staircase of 140 steps rising up to the villa’s entrance, and when you enter the frescoes completely take your breath away.
